How to Update Pricing of Your Products

There are multiple ways to change prices from individual product editing to importing a CSV file with a product code and new prices.  Processes can be automated.

These functions are availble under the Products Tab when logged into the CMS.

- Individually

• Product prices can be individually changed within the edit product page.  You click on the prices tab, change the prices and update the record.
• Click on Products Tab
• Select View All Products  or Find Products or Search
• You can navigate through any of these options to an individual product and click its name to edit it.

- With Product Categories

• Click on Products - List and Edit Products.
• Click on the $ symbol under the rpices column and all products in that subcategory will show with the ability to edit prices and update

- Across common search times

• Click on Products
• Click on Search Multiple Products
• Type in a keyword or code common to the products you want to update
• check or uncheck the various fields you want to show or edit.
• Click search
• Change prices and updated at the bottom of the page

- In Excel

• Export your datafile to excel by clicking on Products - Export Products
• Download data file and save in a folder
• Open data file and always use SAVE AS when saving changes and give a new name to ensure original is kept pristine, in case of a muck up.  This makes for fast and easy recovery.
• In excel you can sort, filter and run formulas on your prices to adjust them.
• ALWAYS copy and paste your prices as VALUES to finalise.  (this removes the formula code which will break the import process)
• You can then reimport the whole file as a replacement 
• To import and overwrite everything. Click Products >> Import Products
• Browse for the CSV file and upload. Tick to overwrite everything (only do so if kept original backup or take one first and come back to this)
• Upload

 - By Product Price Import

This options means you can update the product prices and stock level as well if wanted

Your minimum columns are

id   and  price 1

but you have several others you can add if you want to. 

• id (compulsory)
• price 1
• price 2
• price 3
• price 4
• price 5
• price 6
• special price
• special start date (YYYY-MM-DD format)
• special end date (YYYY-MM-DD format)
• stock level

Save as a CSV file.

Click on Products Tab >> Import Prices and Stock

Click choose file and select your price file

Click upload file

The system works by looking up the product ID and updating to your specified price and moving through the spreadsheet until done.

- In an automated way from another datafile

Price and/or stock updating can be automated from external systems by generating an updated file on a server which we automate importing of regularly  or we can provide a price or stock update API that your external system can use to update pricing.
